Thilan Samaraweera the Bangladesh cricket team batting consultant contract will not be extended further reveals the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). Last year the former Sri Lankan cricketer was appointed as Bangladesh's batting consultant in September.

"We had a contract with him till the Champions Trophy, so now we have parted ways," ESPNcricinfo quoted the board's chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury as saying.

"He is in the hospital so we will wait for the appropriate time for him to join. We will have to look for a new physio only when he informs us whether he is unable to join the team," he concluded.
