The Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT) which is the country's newest franchise sports league yesterday got launched where India's Chess Grandmaster and former World champion Viswanathan Anand was the chief guest.

In the  inauguration event, Anand said "This is the biggest league to happen in India for table tennis and I think it will be a great boost to the sport in the country," 

At the inauguration event league promoters Vita Dani and Niraj Bajaj were also present. The first tie yesterday was played between  RP-SG Mavericks and Falcons TTC  at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Chennai.
