In order to bring normalcy in the Kashmir Valley to the BJP leaders, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has instructed to liaise with key people. The point to note here is that since the Center decided to repeal Article 370, the situation in Kashmir has been tense since 5 August. According to media reports, a personal source said about Shah's instructions that the BJP president has asked the party leaders to personally interact with the clerics, businessmen, hoteliers and people in the tourism industry. Shah issued this directive after a high level meeting with BJP leaders in Kashmir in New Delhi on Monday. Sources said that the Center is planning to launch several development programs in the region which are affected by Pakistan-backed terrorism.

Apart from this, sources have informed that, the purpose of the outreach program is to open educational institutions and bring government employees back into operations in offices and tourism sector. The BJP hopes that the development initiative and the beginning of a meeting with prominent people will help in bringing normalcy in this area rapidly. It should be noted that the Center is planning to hold an investor summit in Kashmir in November or December later this year. According to the source, 'dates are ready to be finalized soon.
