Tamil Nadu was in huge despondent after Amma's death. Many of the J Jayalalitha's supporters were even died of depression. After two week of the incidence, it is disclosed that Amma's closest adviser will replace her as the Chief of the party, said AIADMK spokesperson, Ponnaiyan.

Spokesperson added “it is the desire of the whole party, Sasikala has functioned as the conscience of Amma”.

After her death, O Panneerselvam was announced as new Chief Minister of the Tamil Nadu. He always supported 'Amma' even when she was arrested in the charge of corruption. It was Natarajan, who was first to meet Amma in 80's and was the last to perform rites during her funeral.
