Cinema Halls to play 'National Anthem' before movie screenings; orders Supreme Court

New Delhi: Today, the new order was announced by the Supreme Court that the “national anthem must be played in the cinema halls before starting the movie”. Further Court added that, those who present in the theatre, needs to be stand when the anthem is played and the national flag should be displayed on panel. 

"When the national anthem is played it is imperative for everyone to show honour and respect . It would instill a sense of committed patriotism and nationalism," Court directed.

Shyam Narayan Chouski, who runs an NGO in Bhopal, filed a plea regarding the matter.
