Ahmedabad: A woman and her 18-year-old daughter were killed by the man at their residence, as he got frustrated over frequent quarrels in the family in Bavla town.
“The incident happened on sunday night,, adding that the accused, Pratapram Meghwal 42 years old, committed the crime as he was fed up with his wife's accusation that he was into a physical relationship with their daughter”, said police.
Sub Inspector (PSI) of Bavla police station, P A Raval, said ,"Meghwal, a native of Rajasthan, first attacked his wife Lila 37 years old with a knife while she was asleep and then stabbed their daughter Komal 18 years old at their rented house in Shantinagar area of Bavla town in Ahmedabad district".
"Meghwal ran a small shop in the town. His wife suspected that he was in a relationship with their daughter. There used to be frequent quarrels between the two over the issue. To put an end to this, Meghwal decided to eliminate his wife. When everybody was sleeping, he slit her throat. When Komal tried to save her mother, he stabbed her as well," Raval added.
