AGARTALA:The Tripura Assembly held on Monday, heating debate was going on upon the “womanising” issue and all of sudden the incident occurred which contemplated all the members in the house. TMC MLA, Sudip Roy Barman pulled the speaker's mace and ran out of the house.
His actions during the debate set halt to the proceedings. After half a minute later Barman brought the mace back to the house.
“Barman raised a womanising issue during zero hour without any prior notice. Then the opposition members came to the well of the house and started shouting slogans. Suddenly Barman ran out of the house with the Mace, he should not have done it,” speaker's statement to reporters in chamber.
Other member also criticized the deed, Debnath accused Barman saying that “ this is against Parliamentary traditions, practice and Procedure.”
Similar incidents happened in assembly twice, before today.
