Indian women hockey team has defeated opponent Malaysia to 2-0 in a pool match of ongoing 4th Asian Champions Trophy. With this win, Indian team is leading in the pool list with all the positive vibes to come. Beginning the game, Indian team was in little pressure because of the knockout stage but the girls didn't disappoint bragging a solid win.
Having got a good start at to the game, Indian defenders didn't allow Malaysian players to even come closer to the goal post and so keeping their hopes of scoring at the bay. Malaysian team has attempted numerous chances of making it into a goal but girls in blue were determined to not to make it that easy and the opponents couldn't make even a single goal.
Until then India had three failed attempted at converting penalty corners despite trying different variations. However, Deepika's experience and the presence of mind enabled the team to take a 2-0 lead over a hapless Malaysian side.
India will next take on China on November 4.
