New Delhi: On Wednesday, Senior IPS officer Karnal Singh was chosen as the Chief of Enforcement Directorate.
According to the order issued by the department of personnel and training, the appointment of Singh as director, Enforcement Directorate (ED) has been approved by the appointments committee of cabinet till August 31, 2017.
A 1984 batch IPS officer of Union territories cadre, Karnal Singh, was having the additional charge of ED chief since August last year. At present, he is serving as a special director in the ED.
