On Sunday, in Manipur the authorities has imposed Curfew after Anti-economic Blockade protesters torched 20 Ukhrul-Bound vehicles in Khurai area. Curfew is imposed from 6:30 PM Sunday to 4:00 AM Monday.
The Deputy commissioner has issued an order in which all telecom operators were asked to shut down all the internet services in the Imphal area. According to the officials, this is done to prevent "spreading of false propaganda and hate speech through social media".
Police dispersed the tear gas in the area so that angry public can go away from the place.
