The Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi today will appear at a court in Maharashtra's Bhiwandi. He is accused of defaming the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

He confirmed this news by tweeting on Twitter. Mr. Gandhi wrote "Will be in Bhiwandi this morning before heading to Goa"

On Bapu's martyrdom day, my pledge to fight always against those who seek to destroy what he so carefully sought to build & protect wrote Rahul Gandhi in another tweet.

"An India of love, compassion & harmony," he wrote.

In a rally before the 2014 elections, he blamed RSS for the assassination of Gandhi.
