Golaghat: In a tragic incident, a bus collided with an oil tanker on National Highway 37 in Golaghat district of Assam killing four passengers and injuring 20 persons.
According to officer incharge of Dergaon police station Rupjyoti Dutta, “Tinsukia-bound private night bus from Guwahati had a head-on collision with the loaded oil tanker coming from the opposite direction at Rongamati”.
“The bus driver and three passengers of the bus died on the spot and 18 of its passengers along with two persons in the oil tanker were injured in the accident at around 3.30 AM, “ officer further added.
The wounded were rushed to hospitals in Golaghat and Jorhat Medical College Hospital.
