The Trinamool Congress party today decided that it will not attend the pre-budget meeting called by Centre. Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal has asked the MPs of the party to attend a meeting at her Kolkata's residence.
Today, ahead of the Budget session on February 11, all party meeting will be held to have a support of opposition for the smooth conduction of proceedings.

To postpone the date of Budget 2017 and to be presented it after the Assembly elections in five states (Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Manipur, Goa, and Punjab) opposing parties contacted Election Commission.
