Lucknow: A 19-year-old girl was held captive and gang-raped in Uttar Pradesh's Mahoba. After this incident, a sensation spread in the entire area. The accused fled after committing the crime. The victim's family said their daughter was found lying unconscious in an isolated area in the village. The victim's brother has lodged a case in the police station against an unidentified accused besides one named. After which she did not return home, so her search was started. When the brother reached the water tank outside the village while searching for his sister, he saw that a person from the village, Lalu Verma, started running after seeing him. He got some doubts and went a little further and saw that his sister's slippers were lying and she was lying on the ground in an unconscious state. Searching for the daughter, the victim's mother, aunt and others from the village reached the spot. Somehow, when the girl came to her senses and she told that Lalu Verma and two others had forcibly taken her hostage and took her with them and raped her. The victim's brother lodged a complaint at the local police station and demanded strict action against the accused. At the same time, the family alleges that the police are forcibly pressuring them to forfeit. Mahoba district police tweeted that on the basis of the victim's complaint, a case of gang rape has been registered at the local police station and the victim is being sent for medical examination.
