Haryana man troubled by new traffic rules, Challan amount exceeds vehicle price

New Delhi: Not even two days have been applied to the increased penalty amount for breaking traffic rules and it has started to be voiced against it. A resident of Delhi and a person working in a Gurgaon court was fined Rs 23,000, while the total cost of his scooty is Rs 15,000 in the current situation.

Dinesh Madan, a resident of Geeta Colony, Delhi, works in the Gurgaon court of Haryana. On Monday, when he went out on the road with his 2015 model scooty for some work, the traffic policemen caught him. When he was questioned about the vehicle registration, license, air pollution NOC, helmet and third party insurance. Dinesh said that he would provide the papers after some time, but by then his challan of 23 thousand rupees had been cut.

The challan was deducted under different sections of the Motor Vehicle Act 1988 section 213 (5) (e). One thousand rupees without a helmet, Rs 5 thousand without driving license, 2 thousand rupees without insurance, 5 thousand without registration and 10 thousand rupees for challan without air pollution NOC. In this way, a total invoice of 23 thousand rupees was made. Now Dinesh had his vehicle confiscated due to no money. At the same time, Dinesh is now unable to decide whether to get a new vehicle or collect 23 thousand and bring back the old scooty.
