Assam CM visits flood relief camp near Kaziranga

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal visited the flood relief camp at Rising Sun School in Kohring near Kaziranga on Thursday morning. He interacted with the people taking shelter there. Sonowal has told in a tweet that this morning, he went and interacted with the residents of the flood relief camp at Rising Sun School in Kohora near Kaziranga.

According to the information received, he has further told that the Assam flood has created new challenges before us and we are not leaving any shortcoming in protecting the lives of both people and animals. Prior to this, CM also completed a tour of the flood relief camp in Tekok.

It has been learned that according to Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), 66 people have been killed in 30 districts due to floods in the state till 15 July. And 48,07,111 have been affected.
