Bangladesh Foreign Minister AK Momen canceled his visit to India, this is the reason

Dhaka: Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen has abruptly canceled his visit to New Delhi. It is being told that this visit has been cancelled due to Bangladesh's displeasure over the Citizenship Amendment Bill. Although Dr. Momen has said that, I have had to cancel my tour of New Delhi, because I have to participate in Budijibi Day and Vijay Day.

Dr. Momen has further said that, our Minister of State is in Madrid outside the country and the Foreign Secretary is in The Hague. He said that, in view of the domestic program, I have decided to cancel this trip. However, I am eager to attend the next meeting proposed in New Delhi in January. Now our Director General will go to New Delhi to participate in the program. Earlier, the Foreign Minister of Bangladesh had said that there are very few countries where communal harmony is as good as Bangladesh.

He said that if Home Minister Amit Shah stayed in Bangladesh for a few months, he would see exemplary communal harmony in our country. Bangladesh Foreign Minister further said that, India is facing many problems in its own country. Let them fight their problems. We have no problem with this. As a friendly country, we hope that India will not do anything that affects our friendly relations.
