By-election: Dry day will be on counting and voting days in Baroda

Baroda: In Haryana, the voting of the Baroda Assembly by-election on November 3 and counting of votes is being completed on November 10, there are 'dry days' in the assembly area and 3 kilometres of the adjacent area. Liquor contracts or alcohol-serving establishments are to be closed completely. As per the information received, compliance with the provisions of Rule 37 (10) of Haryana Liquor License Rules, 1970 and according to clause 2.13.1 of Excise Policy 2020-21, from 1 pm to 6 pm on November 3, 2020, liquor shops are going to be closed.

On the counting day, on November 10, this order will remain in force till the counting of votes is over. It is strictly enforcing the restrictions laid down in excise laws regarding the placing and storage of liquor on premises without a license. Due to the fact that liquor cannot be stored by individuals, full monitoring is to be done.

The Chief Electoral Officer Anurag Aggarwal is speaking that the by-election will be conducted in a fair, peaceful and transparent manner. The voters will not be affected by money power or alcohol.
