London: British media agency BBC often remains in controversies due to its anti-India journalism. Recently there were a lot of controversies regarding the documentary 'India: The Modi Question' released by BBC. While the opposition parties of India supported the BBC regarding this documentary, some eminent foreigners including Britain's PM Rishi Sunak lambasted the BBC and termed it as negative and false journalism. Now once again politics has heated up in Britain. BBC documentary result of bad journalism:- British MP Bob Blackman has claimed that things in the documentary have been 'exaggerated'. Not only this, he has called it 'bad journalism'. During this, he also gave his opinion on the ongoing confrontation between India and China. According to media reports, Blackman said, 'BBC does not reflect the views of the British government.' He said the documentary was "the result of bad journalism, poorly researched and completely unfair". Talking to a channel, Blackman claimed that China is trying to surround India. In January, Lord Raminder Ranger, a member of the House of Lords, also lashed out at the BBC over the documentary. He had said, 'BBC you have hurt crores of Indians. It despises the democratically elected Indian Prime Minister, the Indian Police, and the Indian Judiciary. We condemn the riots and loss of lives and also condemn your biased reporting.' Opposition parties in India had taken the side of the BBC:- Let us tell you that the Government of India also rejected this documentary as a 'propaganda piece' and banned its telecast. After this, there was a lot of uproar from the road to the Parliament. Many opposition parties, including the country's oldest political party Congress and Trinamool Congress (TMC), took the side of BBC and demanded a lifting of the ban on broadcasting. TMC MP Mahua Moitra and Prashant Bhushan, a lawyer considered close to the Congress, had even reached the Supreme Court to get the documentary ban dismissed. On which the Supreme Court, while hearing, had asked the Central Government to answer. Why the controversy over the BBC documentary? Let us tell you that, in its documentary, BBC had called PM Modi guilty of the Gujarat riots, not only this, BBC has also tried to show the image of PM Modi as anti-Islamic. Let us tell you that the Supreme Court of India has given a clean chit to PM Modi in the Gujarat riots case. At the same time, a case is also going on against Teesta Setalvad, a Congress close aide, for fabricating fake evidence against PM Modi regarding the Gujarat riots. It is alleged that Teesta fabricated evidence against the then CM Narendra Modi by taking money from Congress and tried to topple his government. After this, BBC also made a documentary on Shamima Begum, who was recruited in the terrorist organization Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), in which she was presented as a great woman. After this, questions were raised on the credibility and intention of the BBC.
