Jaipur: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which is engaged in a membership drive, is scheduled to celebrate membership target fulfillment week in Rajasthan from today till August 11. Under this, membership chaupal will be organised across the state. During the visit, top BJP leaders will also visit various districts. The state BJP has asked party workers to go to several institutions and link them with the party. The active membership campaign will be launched from August 12 to 31. The party has issued instructions to speed up the membership campaign by contacting its fronts door to door. State Convener of the campaign Satish Poonia said that former Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan will reach Udaipur on August 7 to review the work done under the membership so far. The BJP has so far made 26 lakh members in Rajasthan. State Convener of the campaign Satish Poonia said that the party has set a target of adding 30 lakh new members. He has said that according to party rules, the target was to be taken at around 1.5 lakh, but in view of the enthusiasm of the activists, the Rajasthan BJP set a target of adding 30 lakh new members. Speaking on the issue of the new state president, Punia said that the BJP is a system-run political party and there is no big deal even if the state president is not formed.
