Car Dragged woman for 4 Km, Video of body without clothes and Broken Legs went viral, Rape claims

A horrific incident comes to light where a woman was brutally dragged by the car. The incident is reported from Delhi for a 4 kilometers on the morning of new year. The video of the horrific incident went viral on over social media. The 20-year-old woman died after her scooter was hit by a car and her body was dragged for around  4 in Delhi on the first day.

In the viral video, the car can be seen being driven away on a road.  The woman has been identified as Anjali. She was stuck under the car, a shadow can be seen under the four-wheeler. In the video woman's body was without clothes and broken legs that led to claims that the victim was raped and murdered. However, police ruled out theories of the incident being a rape case and called it an accident.  According to police, the victim's leg got entangled in one of the wheels of the car and she was dragged for a few kilometers.

As of now Police have arrested Five men travelling in Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Deepak Khanna (26), Amit Khanna (25), Krishan (27), Mithun (26) and Manoj Mittal, have been arrested by police. A case under IPC sections 279 (rash driving) and 304-A (causing death by negligence) has been registered against the five accused. As per the information, the accused were not aware that the victim was being dragged by their car and when they got to know about it, they got scared. They then removed the body from the vehicle and escaped.

Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chairperson Swati Maliwal has issued summons to  "A girl was dragged for several kilometres by a car driven by inebriated men. Her body was found without clothes on the road. This is a very scary incident. I am issuing a summons to Delhi Police to appear before the panel. What were the security arrangements on the occasion of New Year?"
