In Uttarakhand, the graph of corona infected patients is continuously increasing. On Sunday, 23 corona infected have been found in the state. According to the Health Bulletin issued by the Health Department, one case has been reported in Almora, six in Chamoli, four in Dehradun, three each in Pauri and Rudraprayag and six in Tehri. So far 1486 infected patients have recovered and returned home. While there are still 796 active cases. While 27 corona-infected patients have died so far. Doctors and health workers fighting the war against Corona in Pradesh have also started getting infected. So far, more than 60 doctors and health workers have been found to be corona positive. On Saturday, three more health workers in Tehri district were found to have corona infection.
More cases of corona infection are being reported among people returned from outside states. Doctors and health workers treating infected patients are also vulnerable to infection. The first case of corona infection came in the state on 15 March. Since then, the number of infected people in the state has crossed 2300. The first corona case was found in a nursing officer working at AIIMS Rishikesh. Since then, more than 60 doctors and health workers have been infected. Doctors and health workers are doing sample work along with treating infected patients. In which there is a risk of infection with a slight lapse.
For your information, to speed up the examination of covid samples in the state, sample tests will be done in 24 hours in laboratories set up in government medical colleges. Director of Medical Education and Additional Secretary Yugal Kishore Pant has instructed the principals of medical colleges to conduct a sample test round the clock. Till Saturday, 47500 corona samples have been investigated in the state. It has got 2278 sample positives. At the same time, more than four thousand samples are waiting for investigation. According to the order issued by the Director of Medical Education, now a 24-hour sample examination will be done at Government Medical College, Doon, Haldwani and Srinagar. If there is shortage of staff for testing, then personnel will be deployed through outsourced. A separate team will be formed to work in the shift, so that the lab can have round the clock work.
