Corona virus cases have crossed 4 lakhs in the country. Dr. Ashish Jha, director of Harvard Global Health Institute, has expressed concern about the increasing cases. He has said that the situation may worsen in the more populous states Bihar and Uttar Pradesh and one can see an increase in the number of deaths here. At the same time, India has recorded a record 15,413 new cases of corona virus on Sunday and 303 people have also died during this period. Corona infects in the country has increased to 4 lakh 10 thousand 461. With this, the death toll has risen to 13,254.
In his statement, Jha told PTI that right now I am concerned about the fast growing corona cases in India. The spread of Corona is getting high in some big metro areas like Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai, but I am more concerned about the more populous states Bihar and UP, where the spread is not fast. When the speed of proliferation will increase here, then there will be a big increase in the number of cases and deaths. For this we need to be prepared.
Apart from this, in an email interview, he said that India has joined the top five countries in the world in the number of corona virus cases. In India, more than 10,000 new cases are being reported continuously since last 6 days. The numbers will continue to increase in the coming weeks and months. He said that at the moment it is very difficult to predict how the corona virus will spread throughout India. At the same time, Jha referred to the 'Youyang Gu COVID-19' model for estimating potential Kovid-19 deaths in India, which estimates virus infections and deaths worldwide. According to the estimate of this model, by October 1, 2020, the death toll from Corona in India will be 1 lakh 36 thousand 056 and 2,73 crore people will be infected.
