A three-member SIT will investigate the Sonipat liquor scam of the Indian state of Haryana. The Chief Minister himself has taken the front to stop the smuggling of liquor. Home Minister Anil Vij has given instructions to the Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department to constitute SIT. The SIT will consist of a senior IAS, an ADGP level officer and an Excise and Taxation Department officer. The committee will investigate and submit its report to the government in 20 days. The SIT will be commanded by a senior police officer. This is a big scam, whose wires are related to inter-state gangs.
