At Kundadka in Dakshina Kannada district, a madrassa teacher was arrested on charges of sexual exploitation of two juvenile girls.
According to police sources, the offender, named as Ustad Sirajuddin Madani, a madrassa teacher in Kundadka, had been sexually assaulting two underage girls studying there.
The arrest was made after the moms of the two girls who had told them about their trauma filed a complaint. The complaint was lodged at Puttur's women's police station.
According to the sources, a case was filed against Madani under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act, and he was brought before a court here on Monday and sent to judicial custody.
