New Delhi: A 19-year-old boy was shot dead on Friday night in Khajuri Khas area of North-East Delhi. After sending the body for postmortem, the police registered a case and started investigation. According to the police, the boy was shot in the chest at around 10.40 pm. The deceased Sohail was living with his uncle in Shriram Colony for the last six years. He worked in a garment factory. Sohail's cousin Mubarak Ansari has said that Sohail is my aunt's son. He used to live here with us. I came to know about the incident from my friend. When I reached there I saw Sohail lying on the ground. I was told that some people shot him and fled. The police is investigating the matter and has taken Sohail to the hospital. We want the police to identify the murderer soon. Ansari said that he had no enmity with anyone. He used to go to work and come straight home. He was living with us for the last six years. We have never heard of his fight with anyone till date. When the police team reached the spot immediately after the incident, they saw a man lying in a pool of blood. On examination, a bullet mark was found on his chest. He was taken to the nearby Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Forensic and crime team inspected the spot to collect evidence of crime. A case has been registered on behalf of the police under section 302 of IPC and investigation has been started.
