HYDERABAD: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh met with senior executives of Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) on Thursday in Hyderabad to discuss ongoing projects. Commodore Siddharth Mishra (Retd), BDL's chief managing director, briefed the minister on the growth of Atmanirbharta in the defence industry and discussed the measures being undertaken. He added that BDL has a project order of Rs 11,400 crore, which includes a deal for Konkurs-M missiles signed earlier this month. As approvals from the Ministry of Defence progress, the business expects to get more orders. BDL has an order book position of Rs 11,400 crore net, according to an official statement from the Defence Ministry, which includes the Konkurs-M deal inked earlier this month. "More orders are expected from the corporation, as approvals from the Ministry of Defence are still pending. BDL is looking for overseas customers to help it consolidate its order book and become a global exporter of weapon systems, in addition to the home market.
