New Delhi: The Kejriwal government has issued night curfew and weekend curfew orders along with all restrictions to prevent the spread of uncontrollable covid infection in the national capital. Meanwhile, the Delhi government has issued e-passes for movement of people associated with essential services amid night-weekend curfew. The Delhi government has now said that all e-passes issued on or after January 4 are going to be valid for night-weekend curfew till further orders.

Private offices in Delhi completely closed: While the DDMA has issued fresh orders yesterday in view of the spurt in covid cases in Delhi. Under this, all private offices except essential services offices in Delhi have also been closed and work from home instructions have also been issued. Delhi government offices are also currently functioning with a capacity of 50 per cent. Not only that, the dining-in service in restaurants and bars has also been completely stopped and take-away permission has been granted during this period. On the other hand, CM Kejriwal has said that there is no need to panic and we are ready to face every situation. Kejriwal has ruled out the possibility of a lockdown.

More than 21,000 cases were reported in Delhi on Tuesday: According to reports, 21,259 new cases were reported in the national capital on Tuesday with a positivity rate of 25.65 per cent. With this, the active covid-19 covid figure in the city has increased to 74,881, the highest in the last 8 months. In the last 24 hours, 23 people have lost their lives in Delhi, raising the total death toll in the capital to 25,200.
