New Delhi: With the winter season in the national capital Delhi, pollution also increases, and now the Kejriwal government of the state has started preparations to deal with this problem. Environment Minister Gopal Rai on Monday (September 5) held a meeting with all the concerned 30 departments at the Delhi Secretariat regarding the Winter Action Plan. Officials of Environment Department, DPCC, Development Department, Delhi Cantonment Board, CPWD, DDA, Delhi Traffic Police, Delhi Police, DTC, Revenue Department, DSIIDC, Education Department, DMRC, PWD, Transport Department, NHAI, Delhi Jal Board, NDMC etc. were present in this meeting. After the meeting, Gopal Rai said that all the departments have been assigned different tasks on the 15 focus points set. According to this, a winter action plan will be made. All departments have been asked to submit their reports and suggestions to the environment department by September 7, based on which the environment department has to submit a detailed action plan under the winter action plan to the government by September 15. In the past, 15-point focus points were mainly identified in meetings with high officials of the environment, DPCC, development and forest departments. A joint meeting was held with the officials of all the major agencies in Delhi to prepare an action plan based on those 15 focus points. The main objective of this meeting is to prepare a joint action plan against pollution in Delhi.
