NEW DELHI: In a bid to facilitate a large number of people traveling during this festive season Diwali, Konkan Railway of Indian Railways has determined to run special trains. It is good news for passengers that the Konkan railway has determined to run following Additional Ganpati Special Trains in coordination with Central Railway to clear extra rush of passengers during Ganpati Festival 2022. The details of new trains are as follows: On Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at 19:50 hrs., train no. 09193 Surat - Karmali Weekly on Special Fare will depart Surat. The following day at 12:40, the train will reach Karmali. On Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at 14:30, train no. 09194 departs Karmali for Surat Weekly on Special Fare. The following day at 8:00 AM, the train will arrive in Surat. The train will have stoppages at Valsad, Vapi, Palghar, Vasai Road, Bhivandi Road, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, and Thivim. The train will include two sleeping classes, 14 second-class seats, and 1 AC chair car (A total of 17 Coaches). Bookings for the aforementioned Trains will be available beginning on August 15, 2022, at all Passenger Reservation System (PRS) Counters and on the IRCTC Website. All COVID-19 regulations, including those relating to social distance, sanitization, and other issues, shall be adhered to on trains and at railroad stations. Passengers are requested to avail the services, said Girish Karandikar, Deputy General Manager, in a press note.
