Patna: After the suspension of the medical superintendent of Nalanda Medical College Hospital, Dr Binod Kumar Singh, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) opened a front against Nitish Kumar's government and especially the Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister Tejashwi Yadav. Got along too. While IMA is an organization of all doctors, BHSA is a union of government doctors working from the Additional Primary Health Center to Sadar Chikitsalaya in the district. BHSA General Secretary Dr Ranjit Kumar, while opposing the IMA on the issue of doctors missing from duty, has said that Tejashwi Yadav is being told an incomplete thing. Tejashwi Yadav had said that 705 government doctors are taking salary from the government without duty and some of them have not gone to the hospital for 12 years. Ranjeet Kumar said that it is completely contradictory that on one hand the Civil Surgeon, Deputy Medical Superintendent and Medical Officer are reporting the absence of doctors and on the other hand recommending their salary even after their absence. The BHSA general secretary claimed that many doctors included in the absent list of doctors that Tejashwi Yadav has talked about have resigned, but the department is not accepting it. He also assured that the association will never take the side of doctors who remain absent from duty. On the other hand, the Indian Medical Association has demanded the government to issue a white paper on Tejashwi Yadav's statement. Why did Captain Amarinder lash out at the AAP govt in Punjab?
