Jammu: Earthquake tremors have been felt once again in Jammu and Kashmir. On Sunday morning, at the time when everybody was in deep sleep, the earth was seen shaking due to earthquake tremors in Doda, Jammu, and Kashmir. It has been learned that earthquake tremors have been felt near Doda at 4.40 AM on Sunday morning. According to the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake measured 2.9 on the Richter scale. At present, there is no loss of any kind. Before that, on Saturday, at 5.11 am in Ladakh, the earth burst with earthquake tremors. The intensity of this earthquake was estimated at 3.6 on the Richter scale. At the same time, for accurate monitoring of the earthquake in the country, the Ministry of Earth Sciences has decided to increase the monitoring of the earthquake-sensitive areas. Under which 35 more monitoring centers are to be opened across the country. Within 10 months, these centers will start functioning at full capacity. With the opening of these centers, the National Center for Seismology (National Center for Seismology) will start collecting real-time data. As of now, the National Earthquake Monitoring Center can record 3.5 magnitude earthquakes on the Richter scale across the country and 2.5 magnitude earthquakes in and around Delhi.
