Former MLA Kapil Mishra to take BJP membership, 'go with Modi' wrote on Twitter

New Delhi: Former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Kapil Mishra is going to hold the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today. He will join the BJP at around 11 am. This was stated by Kapil Mishra himself on his Twitter account. In a tweet, he wrote, "I am going to join the BJP tomorrow morning. "Let's go to Delhi with Modi.

Acting on the complaint of MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj, Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goyal had cancelled Kapil Mishra's membership. The action was taken on 2nd of August on the basis of the defection law. Kapil Mishra was accused of campaigning in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the Lok Sabha elections 2019. After the action of Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goyal, Kapil Mishra had announced to quit the party.

Kapil Mishra had reached the Assembly by winning the election from The Karaval Nagar Assembly seat in Delhi. For a long time, he has been pitting against Delhi CM and AAP President Arvind Kejriwal. In the past, he had levelled serious allegations against several senior party leaders including Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
