NEW DELHI: The G20 Summit of 2023 has a packed schedule not only for the heads of state but also for their spouses. The partners of the participating leaders are in for a treat with a special luncheon scheduled at the iconic Jaipur House, held on the sidelines of the G20 Summit. This exclusive meal will feature a range of delectable dishes, including those made from millets. According to a reliable source, "The spouses of the heads of state will enjoy a special luncheon at Jaipur House, featuring a variety of millet-based delicacies." Additionally, on September 9, they will have the opportunity to visit the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) located in Pusa. Officials have organized a captivating millet field tour for these esteemed guests. The tour will showcase nine different millet crops, such as sorghum (jowar), pearl millet (bajra), finger millet (ragi), Kodo, samai, and kutki, all specially cultivated for their visit. Furthermore, on the first day, they will explore the National Gallery of Modern Art, where they can admire exhibitions highlighting India's diverse art forms, handloom textiles, and various other cultural treasures. Amitabh Kant, the G20 Sherpa for India, shared insights, stating, "The spouses will have the opportunity to visit the Agricultural Research Institute in Pusa, where they can witness India's groundbreaking work in the field of millets. They will also explore the National Gallery of Modern Art to appreciate the rich tapestry of India's art forms, handloom textiles, and much more. However, the leaders themselves will primarily focus on the business and development issues." On September 10, the spouses will visit Rajghat, following the leaders' visit to the historic site.
