New Delhi: The upcoming G20 Summit in 2023 promises to be a unique confluence of global diplomacy and cultural richness, as 29 countries prepare to exhibit their cherished heritages at the event's venue. Among the highlights are the renowned Mona Lisa and a copy of the 13th-century Magna Carta, both set to captivate attendees.

The Ministry of Culture, the driving force behind this cultural extravaganza, announced that the second level of the Bharat Mandapam, the G20 Summit's central meeting room, will transform into an exhibition space, featuring artwork from all participating nations in both digital and physical forms. This initiative, named the 'Culture Corridor – G20 Digital Museum,' is set to merge artifacts sourced from G20 member states and invited countries.

Leaders attending the summit will traverse this "cultural corridor" while moving in and out of the summit room, providing a unique opportunity to appreciate the world's diverse cultural heritage.

Here's a glimpse of some of the captivating heritages that will be on display at the G20 Summit:

1. Panini Ashtadhyayi: India will proudly represent the linguistic masterpiece, Panini Ashtadhyayi, setting the standard for Sanskrit's written and spoken form. This ancient work, composed by scholar Panini in the fourth century BC, remains a linguistic treasure.

2. Mona Lisa: Leonardo da Vinci's iconic masterpiece, the Mona Lisa, will grace the G20 Summit with its presence, adding a touch of Renaissance artistry to the event.

3. Magna Carta: The United Kingdom's historic Magna Carta, a royal charter of rights agreed upon by King John of England in 1215, will be showcased as a testament to the evolution of democratic values.

4. Gutenberg Bible: Germany's contribution to the exhibition will include the Gutenberg Bible, the earliest printed book in the country, showcasing the evolution of printing technology.

5. Coatlicue Statue: Mexico's heritage will be represented by the remarkable Aztec sculpture, the Coatlicue statue, a testament to the rich cultural history of the Americas.

6. Abrahamic Family House: The interfaith complex in Abu Dhabi, UAE, known as the Abrahamic Family House, will highlight the importance of interfaith harmony and cooperation.

7. Kosode: Japan's contribution includes the Kosode, a short-sleeved garment considered the direct predecessor of the Kimono, symbolizing Japan's rich textile heritage.

A fauna-lidded jar from China will also be among the many captivating artifacts gracing the 'Culture Corridor' exhibition.

The G20 Leaders' Summit is scheduled to take place from September 9 to 10 at 'Bharat Mandapam,' the recently constructed international convention and exhibition center at Pragati Maidan. The 'Culture Corridor' concept aims to unite the most valuable artifacts from all 29 participating countries, symbolizing the essence of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—the world as one family.

Additionally, the Ministry of Culture will host an exhibition that represents India as the 'Mother of Democracy,' emphasizing India's rich 5,000-year history and its enduring commitment to democratic traditions.

As the world eagerly waits for the G20 Summit, it is not only diplomacy but also the celebration of global heritage that will take center stage, fostering a deeper understanding of our shared cultural tapestry.
