Hamirpur: A gas cylinder caught fire in Uttar Pradesh's Hamirpur district when the food was being prepared for the Tirhi feast. 11 people of the same family suffered severe burn injuries. Out of which 4 persons have been referred to Jhansi for treatment as their condition is more serious. Rath SDM Pawan Pathak said that Kishori Devi, wife of Paramlal Sahu, a resident of the Mughalpura area of the town, died due to illness two days ago. Due to this, a program of bone immersion purity was going on in the house on Friday. Suddenly, during the food preparation in the program, there was a fire due to a gas leakage in the domestic gas cylinder. The deceased have been identified as Shyam Vihari (55), Prakash Sahu (63), Anand Sahu (66), Jagat Sahu (54), Shyam Vihari's grandson Ayush (15), Akhilesh (25), Rajdeep (25) son of Shyam Vihari, Virendra Sahu (30), Omkar (11) son of Manoj and Phoola Devi (64) wife of Gopinath. After a lot of hard work, the neighbors somehow admitted all the injured to the government hospital. Where doctors have referred Ayush, Omkar, Prakash, and Phoola Devi to Jhansi. The accident caused a stir in the town. SDM Pawan Prakash Pathak and CO rushed to the spot as soon as the news was received. The SDM said that 11 people of the same family have suffered burn injuries due to the fire caused by a gas cylinder leak, and are being treated.
