Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA Ramakant Yadav was produced in the MP-MLA court on Friday (June 9). During this, he has demanded the judge to provide dry fruits and mineral water in the jail. Samajwadi Party MLA Ramakant said that he was not being given food by the doctor in the jail. Ramakant Yadav, SP MLA from Phulpur Powai, is currently lodged in Fatehgarh Central Jail in UP. According to the report, Bahubali SP MLA Ramakant Yadav was presented in the MP/MLA court through video conferencing in 4 cases on Friday. The next hearing will be held on June 20 as the judge is on leave in connection with two cases of liquor scandal in Ahraula and Phulpur area and firing at Ambari Chowk during the 1998 Lok Sabha elections. During the 2022 assembly elections, the SP MLA appeared in a case of robbery and assault on a BSNL employee. During this, Ramakant placed his demand before the judge. He said that he is not being treated properly. His condition is deteriorating due to sugar. Being an MLA, protocol should be followed. They should be provided good food and other facilities. Ramakant Yadav further said that if the government is not able to afford them then they should be allowed to get food and other facilities at personal expense. A written application was also submitted in the court on behalf of Ramakant's lawyer. Judge Ashok Kumar Singh has sought a report from the Fatehgarh jail administration. The matter will be heard on June 22.
