Conducted in conjunction with the G20 Health Ministers' Meeting taking place in Gandhinagar, Gujarat from August 17 to 19, this summit aspires to shine a spotlight on the invaluable contributions of traditional, complementary, and integrative medicine in addressing the prevailing health challenges of our time. Sarbanand Sonowal, the Minister of Ayush, accentuated the summit's role in nurturing international partnerships in the field of traditional medicine, highlighting its potential to steer global health objectives. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the Director-General of the WHO, acknowledged India's remarkable progress in expanding healthcare services and underscored the deep-seated roots of numerous contemporary pharmaceuticals in age-old practices. Bhupendrabhai Patel, the Chief Minister of Gujarat, expressed his pride in hosting this inaugural summit and underscored India's enduring philosophy centered around health and well-being.
