Rajesh Patnekar found to be infected with corona, Hospitalized!

Panaji: Goa Assembly Speaker Rajesh Patnekar has been found to be infected with corona. Former MLA and Goa Legislature Forum Vice President Victor Gonzalez has informed that Patnekar has been admitted to Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) after a positive test for viral infection on Wednesday. According to doctors, Patnekar's condition is stable.

Patnekar is the third Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader in the state to be corona positive in the last one week. Earlier this week, Goa BJP unit president Sadanand Tanwade and party general secretary (organisation) Satish Dhond were also found to be infected with corona. Both were also being treated at Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). Tande had tweeted on Sunday about his being infected with the coronavirus.

He had said that he had gone into isolation immediately following all the covid rules and was taking necessary medical care on the advice of doctors. On September 18, Goa CM Pramod Sawant had said that the full corona vaccination of the entire population of Goa would be completed by October.
