The Congress-JDS-led government does not have enough strength to prove its majority in the Assembly. With the resignation of 13 Congress and 3 JDS MLAs, the questions standing on this coalition government can be resolved with a confidence vote in the Assembly. If the coalition government collapses, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) may get a chance to form the government.

On the other hand, the BJP has claimed that today will be the last day of the Kumaraswamy government. Voting will be held in the State Assembly this evening. On the other hand, Yeddyurappa has asked all the MLAs to reach the House. On the other hand, Congress leader DK Shivkumar has alleged that the BJP should accept that it is behind it. He should also admit that he is in touch with the rebel MLAs and is running 'Operation Lotus'.
