Supreme Court Revamps Gender Sensitisation Committee - The Supreme Court of India has reconstituted its Gender Sensitisation and Internal Complaints Committee to reinforce efforts towards gender equality and addressing sexual harassment issues within the judiciary. The decision was announced through an office order exercising the powers under the Gender Sensitisation and Sexual Harassment of Women at the Supreme Court of India (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Regulations, 2013.
The newly formed 12-member committee will be chaired by Supreme Court judge Hima Kohli. Among its members are Justice B V Nagarathna, Additional Registrar Sukhda Pritam, and senior advocates Meenakshi Arora and Mahalakshmi Pavani. Also included are representatives from the Supreme Court Bar Association and advocate-on-record Anindita Pujari, advocate Madhu Chauhan, and professor Shruti Pandey, among others.
