New Delhi: In a disturbing incident at Swaroop Rani Hospital in Prayagraj, a video has emerged showing junior doctors violently assaulting the husband of a female patient. The incident occurred when Rohit Patel, who had brought his wife to the hospital for treatment, entered a junior doctor’s office to present her medical report. Instead of receiving assistance, Patel was subjected to a brutal attack by the doctors, who tore his clothes and continued to beat him despite pleas from his mother and brother. The situation escalated when the doctors ignored the protests of Patel’s family and even assaulted his brother, who attempted to record the incident on his phone. The junior doctors confiscated the phone and continued their aggression, even displaying hostility towards the arriving police officers who intervened to stop the assault. The attack took place on Monday, and the hospital administration has promised to investigate the incident and take appropriate action against those responsible. The police have also launched an investigation following a complaint from Patel, adding to the growing outrage over the doctors' conduct. This incident comes amid a wave of protests by junior doctors nationwide demanding justice for a colleague who was raped in Bengal.
