New Delhi: The Central Public Works Department (CPWD) decided to install large LED screens for live telecast of 'Ganga Aarti' at all ghats of Varanasi and Kashi Vishwanath Temple. The region is the parliamentary constituency of PM Narendra Modi. According to the CPWD, which is the central government's main construction agency, LED screens will be installed in the proposed corridor between the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the River Ganga.

According to the plan, Aarti, which will be held at the Kashi Vishwanath temple, will also be broadcast live on these LED screens. According to an official, the project will cost Rs 11.5 crore. The official said that a major event of Ganga Aarti is held at Dashashwamegh Ghat.

"For those who are away from the ghats and cannot join Ganga aarti, the CPWD will install a lot of large LED screens in other ghats, Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the proposed corridor," the official told the press. He said all necessary equipment will be procured for live telecast of Ganga Arti. As soon as the estimated cost is cleared, work on the project will start.
