Dalit children forced to eat beef and read the Bible

Sagar: In the Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh, the case of the pressure of conversion on minor children of Dalit society and forcibly feeding them beef and forcibly teaching Bible has come to light. This case is of Sevadham Ashram of Shyampura. Now the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has taken this matter into their hand. The commission has summoned the Superintendent of Police (SP) Sagar, ordering action, and summoned the reply within 48 hours.

According to media reports, a complaint has been lodged against St. Francis Sevadham at Cantt police station. The complainants are siblings who had been living there for about 18 months. He has also alleged harassment for not eating beef and not reading the Bible. The victim's brother and sister's father Deshraj had complained to the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR). In this case, the Commission has said that the complaint received from the Sagar district has been taken up as per the rules of Section 13 of the Commission for Protection of Child Rights Act, 2005.

According to the media report, 'The children belong to the Dalit society (Scheduled Caste). Following the complaint, the children were thrown out of the school and handed over to their father. It comes under the Bararu area of ​​Sevadham Cantt police station. Here children are also fed pork. Cattle are slaughtered inside the service ashram itself. There has also been talk of taking children to church wearing a locket. At the same time, some children have been accused of choking the neck for refusing this.
