When PM Modi's wife and Mamta Banerjee meet at Kolkata Airport

Kolkata: West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee is known for her strong anti-Modi image. On almost every issue, she is incessant to challenge the Modi government at the Center. But what happened yesterday at the Kolkata airport on Tuesday shows Mamata's other aspect. Which is quite commendable. Actually, Mamta Banerjee left Kolkata Airport on Tuesday for her four-day visit to Delhi where she accidentally met Jashodaben, the wife of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Seeing Jashodaben, CM Mamata Banerjee ran and came to meet her. Both of them greeted each other with folded hands. According to sources, Jashodaben was returning from Jharkhand after a two-day visit to Dhanbad. Dhanbad is close to Asansol in West Bengal. Jharkhand and West Bengal are neighbouring states. The meeting between CM Mamta and Jashodaben was sudden.

After some delay, the Chief Minister also gifted her a sari. According to the source, Jashodaben worshiped at Kalyaneshwari temple in Asansol in West Bardhaman district of West Bengal on Monday and on Tuesday she was returning to Delhi. CM Mamata Banerjee will meet PM Modi on Wednesday in Delhi. Administrative matters may be discussed between the two.
