Lucknow: Former MP Savitri Bai Phule, who quit the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, has resigned from the Congress. Now she will form her own party. After resigning, Savitri Bai said that she will give a new direction to the politics of Uttar Pradesh by forming her own party. He accused the Congress that his voice was not being heard in the party, which is why he resigned. Savitri Phule has said that she will form a new party and raise the voice of Dalits. She can announce the new party in Lucknow on 19 January. Savitri, who was active in campaigning with Priyanka Gandhi Vadra across the state during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, resigned from the party on Thursday. Savitri Bai reached Parliament by winning the Bahraich Lok Sabha seat on a BJP ticket in 2014. He later resigned from the BJP due to a dispute over an issue with the party. Savitri, who left the BJP before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, joined the Congress on March 2, 2019. Savitri, who was a BJP MP for almost four years, accused the BJP of not doing justice to the Bahujan Samaj in four years. He had said that efforts are being made to abolish reservation in the BJP government.
