NCP submits list of MLAs to Maharashtra Governor, includes Ajit Pawar's name

Mumbai: NCP has handed over a letter to the Raj Bhavan about the meeting of NCP Legislature Party held on Saturday. NCP leader Jayant Patil said that I have submitted the list of all the MLAs to the Raj Bhavan. Jayant Patil said that Ajit Pawar's name is also included in the letter we have submitted to the Governor. He said that he is going to his house to convince Ajit Pawar.

It is noteworthy that Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari administered the oath of office to BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis as CM of Maharashtra at eight o'clock on Saturday morning. Rebel nephew of NCP Chief Sharad Pawar, Ajit Pawar also took oath of office with him as Deputy CM. After this Sharad Pawar had said that BJP and Ajit Pawar may have formed government in Maharashtra, but he will not be able to prove majority.

Sharad Pawar, while speaking to presspersons in the afternoon, said, "The MLAs were signed for attendance at the party meeting. This list has been submitted by Ajit Pawar to the Governor as a letter of support to the legislators." In the NCP meeting held on Saturday evening, while taking disciplinary action on Ajit Pawar, the party has removed him from the post of leader of the Legislature Party. The NCP appointed Dilip Valse Patil as the new leader of the legislative party in his place.
