'Omicron' infected in India, 64 new cases reported from these 4 states

Mumbai: India is witnessing a sharp rise in the number of corona infected people. The new variant Omicron has added to the problems. The total figure has reached 325 after 64 new cases of omicron were reported in 4 states on Thursday. Out of this, 33 cases have been reported in Tamil Nadu, 14 in Telangana, 12 in Karnataka and 5 in Kerala. Pm Narendra Modi will hold a high level meeting on Thursday to review the current situation amid growing cases in the country of 'Omicron', a new form of corona infection. Official sources said, the PM will review the global epidemic situation in the country at around 6.30 pm.

In view of the situation in Omicron, vigilance has been increased across the country. On the other hand, the Delhi High Court has challenged the delhi government's decision to stop congestion at religious places on Christmas and New Year. A petition has been filed in the Delhi High Court saying that the delhi government's decision is a violation of Article 14.

A study published in the UK says that the hospitalisation rate for omicranis is lower than that of delta. Experts also say the new variant is less lethal than delta. The third wave has also started to erupt over the increasing cases of corona. Experts also say that the third wave will come but it will not be more deadly.
