Chandigarh: Leaders like Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) have been engaged in uniting the opposition for the past few days. Nitish has travelled to Delhi and also met KCR in Patna. Apart from this, Telangana Chief Minister KCR has also announced to defeat the Modi government many times. Meanwhile, there is going to have a gathering of opposition leaders on September 25 in Haryana, which is also being seen as an attempt at unity for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. This unity rally of the opposition is going to be held on the birth anniversary of former Deputy Chief Minister Devi Lal. The rally, to be held near Hisar, has been prepared by the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), in which Bihar CM Nitish, Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav will be present. This will be the first time in many years that non-BJP and non-Congress leaders from all over the country will be on the same stage. National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah, Akali Dal leaders Parkash Singh Badal, Mulayam Singh Yadav and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav will also be present. Some announcements about the Third Front are also expected on this occasion.
