Pakistan PM Imran Khan is my 'elder brother': Navjot Sidhu

Chandigarh: Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu today addressed Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan as his 'elder brother. . Sidhu made the remark while speaking with the CEO of Pakistan's Kartarpur project.

Sidhu, along with numerous Punjab cabinet ministers, was in Kartarpur to pay obeisance at the Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara. He also expressed his admiration for Pakistan's Prime Minister. In response to Sidhu's remarks, BJP IT Cell director Amit Malviya criticised the Congress leadership for preferring 'Pakistan loving Sidhu over veteran Amarinder Singh.'

"Navjot Singh Sidhu, a close friend of Rahul Gandhi, refers to Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan as his "bada bhai." He had previously hugged Pakistan Army Chief Gen Bajwa and bestowed compliments on him. "Is it any surprise that the Gandhi siblings chose Sidhu over veteran Amarinder Singh because he loves Pakistan?" Malviya wondered. During his visit to Pakistan for Imran Khan's oath-taking ceremony in 2018, Sidhu sparked outrage by hugging Pakistan Army Chief General Bajwa.
